A recent discovery (and the location for all of these pictures) is Blanche Bakery. An all vegan cafe serving cakes, doughnuts and a small selection of sandwiches, you would never know that all of the baked goods were vegan. They have an interesting array of flavours from chocolate and champagne doughnuts to white chocolate and raspberry cupcakes. It goes without saying that Blanche have a range of vegan milk and the coffee is great. This places is not only extremely blogger friendly due to the London/Scandi interior but also should be praised for it’s great sweet treats.

Handily located about five minutes from my house, the Early Bird is a firm favourite brunch spot. Not only do they sell a mix of delicious gluten free, vegan and non vegan patisserie treats, but The Early Bird also sell in house baked loafs which look incredible. For me, the ultimate brunch choice in this cosy bakery is the Fitzgerald french toast – think thick fresh french toast, smothered in nutella with sliced banana and crushed hazelnuts – I personally couldn’t ask for anything more on a Sunday morning.

Stag Coffee not only does great brunch but also makes for the perfect lunch location. Their doorstop sandwiches are ginormous and they have a good choice of veggie and meat options to keep everyone happy. Also if you’re into your milkshakes, Stag do ridiculously OTT milkshakes – I would recommend the cookie monster for sure.

  1. Reading your post has made me miss Cardiff SO MUCH- I lived there for three years for university. I love your pictures and all the bakeries sound amazing. I’m not sure how I didn’t ever try any of them out!
